Jacksonville is one of the best places in the country to start a small business.

Biz2Credit is one of the more popular online credit sources for startups and small businesses. They do general business loans, lines of credit, equipment loans and provide working capital.

On Monday they released a trio of research studies based on the areas of the country that are doing the most business with them. In all three studies, Jacksonville is among the top 25 cities for start-ups. That includes three separate categories: Women-Owned, Minority Entrepreneurs, and General Small Business.

The studies examined markets with the highest annual revenue, credit scores and other factors to arrive at their Top-25 Lists. Biz2Credit defined small business as less than 250 employees, or less than $10 million in annual revenue.

Specifically in the Women-Owned category, Jacksonville really shined, showing the highest average annual revenue among Women-Owned businesses in the country at $1.4M, beating out Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, Pittsburgh and Atlanta.
