We're excited to kick off our Making a Neighborhood blog series with Town Beer Co., a new Murray Hill craft beer shop and tasting room that is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots in town. Town Beer Co. features all local taps (changed frequently to ensure each local brewery gets highlighted week after week), as well as a wide selection of packaged products from breweries in Florida. What makes Town Beer Co unique?
Jacksonville is home to 12+ breweries, so we decided we wanted to highlight the delicious beers made right here in Jacksonville! Town Beer Co. is focusing on Jacksonville produced beers on tap and Florida-wide beers for packaged product and singles.
What is your favorite Town Beer Co product?
It's hard to pick a favorite, especially in the world of craft beer. I'm on a sour kick right now and love anything that makes my lips pucker up!

How are you wanting Town Beer Co to grow?
Speaking long-term, we would love to franchise this model to every major city in the United States. Imagine what only selling beer made in your town would do for the beer sector.
What drew you to owning a business in the Murray Hill area?
My husband Alex and I purchased our first home in Murray Hill last August and quickly saw that a craft beer shop and tasting room was needed in the area. We wanted to see the community thrive, so we started developing our business plan. Six months later, Town Beer Co. opened its doors to Murray Hill.

What is your favorite aspect of the Murray Hill neighborhood?
The sense of community. It's hard to meet your neighbors sometimes, so we're hoping we created a spot where you can easily chat with the person sitting beside you. This area is emerging and we're so excited to be part of the growth.
What's your favorite date night activity in the area?
We love supporting Vagabond Flea. The Flea brings local artisans from the area together and lets them showcase their unique pieces. I love taking home a piece of art, knowing it was made in the area. There's also a great local music scene that we love supporting.
