The canines of Riverside have marked their territory, once again. Riverside will be adding to its considerable reputation as a great place for Jacksonville dog (and cat) lovers, as it welcomes its new Happy Hound Dog Resort.  The Jacksonville Business Journal reports that Happy Hound Dog Resorts will lease the 15,000-square-foot space vacated by the Save-A-Lot grocery near the intersection of Blanding Boulevard and Shirley Avenue.

Liz and Jack Bobeck are the enterprising husband and wife team, who have partnered with entrepreneur Lisa Fine of The Happy Hound in Avondale. The new business encompasses doggy daycare, boarding, grooming and training.
The adjacent neighborhoods of Avondale, Riverside, Ortega and Murray Hill and Ortega are chock full of proud dog owners, and the Bobecks say that it’s possible that they will expand to other Jacksonville neighborhoods.
