Ten years after it was established, the first major expansion of St. Johns Town Center is on the drawing board.
It's been about 10 years since the 200-acre St. Johns Town Center in the city's
Southside was established, and set the standard for what an upscale shopping destination in Jacksonville should look like. After a market slowdown, and a new full service Nordstrom's installed, the expansion that was always expected may now come to fruition.
Plans are for about 45 acres of new development across Town Center Parkway, according to real estate brokerage firm Cantrell Morgan, Inc. Plans show new retail, hotels, and multifamily developments on Town Center Parkway near the intersection with Town Center Parkways and Gate Parkway.
